Design
we've been renovating all year 'round
I can't tell you enough how many images I've tried to use until I got with this beautiful street style design that was so easy to do. There were some times that that I wanted to just yell out in frustration since I had to make sure it looked sort of the same in other main browsers that other people use. Either way, it was easier than I expected since I've been learning a lot of things the past year after getting back into coding and I'm glad I did too.
So, what is this Boy's Love game you say? Well, it's one that I've heard about the past years when I got into the genre and I finally got the East Asian Language files that my computer needed to play the beautifully created game. The characters aren't the whiny, beautiful, and overall stereotypical males at all. They're like your average boys in a street game only it's not that sort of setting. It's set in a place in Japan that has broken off of society and is ruins. I found the game so interesting since it's not like the typical BL games out there. If you wish to know more, go here.
The scan I used is from Anime Paper.net and can be found here but make sure you have, at least, 25 papers. If you don't have enough, I've uploaded it here (3 Mb) over at ImageShack.us but please credit with the link at Anime Paper.net and not me since I didn't scan it.
The font for the domain's name is called MS Gothic since it has that bunched up yet street style look. The network name at the bottom right hand corner has the font Amano because I wanted something elegant yet looked like sloppy handwriting. Up on the navigation, I used Fifont since it gives off a whacky yet funky look. The tag images in the Network used for hostees are located here. As for the brushes, all (header, arrows, everything!) are from a 378 Abstract pack by PAULW. I was amazed how they all clicked together and went with this design. Thanks Paul for the wonderful brushes! Lastly, the icons found at the bottom of the Owner page can be found also here.
The software I used to make the design was Adobe Photoshop CS2 along with a little bit use of Jasc Paint Shop Pro 8 while I used Dreamweaver CS4 for the coding. All pages should be validated XHTML Strict while the CSS should be validated as well.
